  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 3 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • 2½ cups flour
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees
  2. In a large bowl, cream sugar, cream cheese and butter together until light and fluffy
  3. Beat in egg yolk and vanilla
  4. Stir in flour until well blended
  5. Drop dough by spoonfuls or use a cookie press to place onto cookie sheet
  6. If desired, make an indentation in the center of cookie with your thumb and fill with preserves or chocolate
  7. Bake for 15 minutes; cookies should be almost pale

This recipe works well in a cookie press, or you can fill the center with preserves or chocolate chips for variety.
